Job Description

Reporter, contributor, writer, call it what you like, RateMyStation is searching for talented content creators to join our team! Working from the comfort of your home, using an alias name, you can become a freelance writer, providing insight and advice to the thousands who visit our website on a daily basis.

We’re looking for people who want to write about their experiences in the newsroom (good or bad) to share with our viewers. Incoming journalists with no experience are welcomed too! We want you to share stories that are heartwarming, jaw dropping, unexpected or hilarious, simply put, if you want to write about it, we want to share it!

Note: Writers will be paid per article, with added bonuses for articles that do exceptionally well

 

Responsibilities:

• Submit as many articles as you choose, they will be approved and published by an Editor
• Write one of a kind, first-hand accounts of your experiences that you think our viewers will find interesting, helpful, or funny
• Create highly shareable and attention-grabbing headlines (that’s the fun part!)

Qualification

• The ability to manage your own workload effectively
• Access to Google Docs
• A passion for storytelling
• Experience working in a newsroom, or have a degree in/studying journalism or communications

Note: Writers must be willing to submit articles on a regular basis (think of your readers, you wouldn’t want to keep them wanting more for too long).
