There aren’t many POCs in the mkt and it’s a Trump State filled with proud open KKK members :/. So for me what irritates me is my management team not thinking about where there Sending me for a story especially after weekends when the entire country is digesting extreme racial tensions. The team is actually really talented but there’s a few bad apples in the bunch that thrive on negativity and taint the newsroom making it a toxic wasteland.
The pay isn’t great so people are always in and out and they take their time rehiring. For the most part the issues we dealt with last year have been resolved due to our new ND. But things are still slightly unorganized and unpolished, which is a simple fix if people would hold themselves accountable and actually train the new people.
